Technical Manager - Bakery

Exciting opportunity to join a leading retailer as Technical/Product Development manager on the Bakery category.  You will be responsible for delivering all technical aspects of product development, and ensuring suppliers produce safe, legal products which consistently meet business and customer defined quality standards. You will need the following skills:· Customer & Market Focus, Planning & Executing, Influencing & Communciating Experience:- Extensive experience of working in a number of different product areas in food or relevant product management experience in manufacturing/retail industry, Extensive knowledge of food manufacturing processes and working with suppliers, Specialists product knowledge as necessary, Proven ability of managing quality issues, Applied knowledge of quality management practices e.g. HACCP, BRC, Working knowledge of food legislation and pack declaration issues. Qualifications:·Degree or equivalent in food or product related or relevant scientific subject, Qualified Lead Assessor Expertise. Valid driving licence, Computer literate, Up to date knowledge of retail and consumer trends. Ability to work within a team. Commercial awareness. Experienced in business travel.
